Crossed roller bearings

Cylindrical rollers, which are separated from each other by a spacer retainer, are fitted crosswise in a 90V groove. Then the bearings can afford all directions’ load, including radial and axial load. These bearings are used on application such as joints abd swiveling units of industrial robots, swiveling tables of machining centers, rotary units of manipulators, precision rotary tables, medical equipment, measuring instruments and IC manufacturing machines.

High rotation accuracy
The spacer retainers fitted among crossed –arrayed rollers prevent rollers from skewing and the rotation torque from increasing due to friction between rollers. Compared with conventional types which used steel sheet retainers, new design with spacer retainers will not cause displacement or locking of rollers. Since the inner and outer rings are designed to be separable, the bearing clearance can be adjusted. Even with pre-loading, the bearings can steadily rotate with high precision.

Attentions:

The separable inner or outer ring is fastened in place using special rivets, bolts or nuts when delivered. When installing, pls do not disassemble it. Also, erroneously installing the spacer retainer will signigicantly affect the rotational performance of the system.
1. The joint between inner and outer rings may be misaligned when delivered. In that case, pls loosen the bolts and correct the alignment by using a plastic hammer before installing it into the housing;
2. Pls do not force onto the securing rivets or the bolts when installing or removing the crossed roller ring;
3. When mounting the flange, pls pay attention to the dimensional tolerances of the parts so that the inner and outer ring can be fixed firmly by the flange from the side.
